VI. TURN LEFT - TURN RIGHT

“Beautiful is such a certainty,
but uncertainty is more beautiful.”

Love at First Sight, Wislawa Szymborska

When people are destined for each other, love will always find its way.

The story is based on the illustrated book A Chance of Sunshine by Taiwanese author Jimmy Liao

The story revolves on John is a violinist and Eve a translator in a book company.

John and Eve have brushed shoulders in crowd hundreds times, but somehow their paths never really cross. This time fate has actually come its way. One day they accidentally met each other at the fountain. They spent time together that whole day and shared stories about their first visit in the amusement park. There they realized that they have been looking for each other for years now and finally they exchanged numbers, but unluckily the number got washed away and they never got the chance to contact each other again. Not knowing they were only a thin wall apart. They are always near each other but can't seem to find one another.

During the film showing, the whole class was participating we were all wondering. What’s going to happen next? Are they going to meet? Is this going to be a happy ending? to be honest it was exciting and at the same time annoying.

Everyone’s reactions were so loud.  Some were excited, some were kinikilig, and most were annoyed because of how John & Eve are so close yet; they still couldn’t find each other.

“Beautiful is such a certainty,
but uncertainty is more beautiful.”

Love at First Sight, Wislawa Szymborska

This is one of the lines that struck me in the poem “Love at First Sight”. In love, you really have no idea what’s going to happen next. Are you really meant for each other? Is it going to last? What if the next morning the person you love the most suddenly just walked away?

That’s what beautiful about love, the uncertainty. You don’t have to listen and depend on other people’s advices from what they have experienced. Every person loves in their very own unique way.

You have to go find it out yourself, what’s going to happen next. You might get your heart broke, it’s okay; it’s not the end of the world. That’s part of falling in love.

an earthquake strikes, destroying the wall that separates their apartment. Both finally find each other. Love will always find its way, when two people are destined for each other.

Just like Eve & John. Fate just had a way of pulling them apart for them to meet in the perfect timing of destiny.
